Flagstaff lies near the southwestern edge of the Colorado Plateau and along the western side of the largest contiguous ponderosa pine forest on earth at an elevation of around 7,000 ft (2,000 m). Flagstaff is located just south of the San Francisco Peaks, the highest mountain range in the state of Arizona. The San Francisco Peaks (known locally as simply "The Peaks") consist of several summits including Humphreys, Agassiz, Fremont, and Doyle Peaks. Humphreys Peak, also known as Mount Humphreys, is one corner of this ancient volcano and the highest point in Arizona at 12,633 ft (3,850 m). It is located about 10 mi (16 km) north of Flagstaff.
Besides winter snow skiing at the Arizona Snowbowl west of Humphreys Peak, nearby tourist attractions include Walnut Canyon National Monument, Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument, Wupatki National Monument, Oak Creek Canyon, Barringer Crater (meteor crater), The Arboretum at Flagstaff, and the Museum of Northern Arizona. Grand Canyon National Park is 75 mi (120 km) north of Flagstaff along U.S. Route 180 while Glen Canyon National Recreation Area and Lake Powell are both about 135 mi (216 km) north along U.S. Route 89.
If
you are moving to Arizona you will probably need to know answers to
questions like the following:
What is the right amount of coverage for me?
This is a very difficult question to answer without first sitting down with
each of our clients and asking them several questions about your situation,
assets you are trying to protect and exposures you currently have. Remember
that every situation is different.
How can I lower my premiums?
There are several ways to lower your premiums, some of them include
increasing your deductibles, adding a preferred provider option to you auto
coverage, placing your home and auto coverage with the same company,
carpool, good student and safe driver discounts. Whatever your situation, we
will inform you of every discount available to meet your needs and save you
as much money as possible.
Should I carry full coverage on my auto?
The easiest way to answer this is to ask yourself, if my car disappeared
today would I need the money from my insurance company to replace it. If the
answer to this questions is “yes” then you do need full coverage.
What Do I Do If I Have a Claim?
As an Independent Agent we will help you with the claims process. At 1st
Arizona Insurance we prefer that you contact us with the first report of
claim and we can then help you throughout the process. However if you
prefer, most of the companies we represent do have toll free numbers and you
can report claims direct to the company 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
